Peer Leaders have been celebrating College Signing Day throughout the month of May, and these teams have a lot to be proud of! Here are some of our College Signing highlights:
On May 2nd, 2022, Peer Leaders at Largo High School, Maryland hosted a Commitment Day for students to celebrate their post-grad plans together. Congratulations, #largolions!
The Peer Leader team at Bowie High School in Maryland celebrated with a College Signing Day photoshoot. We are so proud of our Bowie Peer Leaders for helping their classmates reach this huge milestone!
In New York City, All Hallows Peer Leaders Kevy Arias, Eghan Zapata, and Ethen Ortiz, along with their peers and faculty, wore their college sweatshirts to celebrate the Class of ’22 and their outstanding college acceptances.
At Dr. Henry A. Wise Jr. High School in Maryland, Peer Leaders broke out the balloons and celebrated Senior Signing Day in style, with many students sporting their college-branded attire.
College Signing Day at Friendship Tech Prep in D.C. marked some huge accomplishments for the Class of 2022 and our Peer Leaders. 100% of the Class of 2022 received a college acceptance, and 87% of seniors completed their FAFSA, the highest completion rate in the district. Tech Prep Peer Leaders also celebrated some major scholarship wins!
Kenyatta Robinson, a Peer Leader at Friendship Tech Prep, shared that he was admitted to a stunning total of 8 schools this spring.
Peer Leader Augustina Alapa, from Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Maryland, broke out the yellow and blue to announce her commitment to Smith College. Way to go, Augustina!
Thoby Laraque, a Peer Leader at Coconut Creek High School in Florida, celebrated his commitment to serve in the United States military after high school.
Coconut Creek Peer Leader Marc Gedeon is headed to Howard University in the fall!
Bowie Peer Leader Carlise Chase is off to Towson University this fall after choosing between multiple college offers!
Zoe Burkett, a Peer Leader at Chesapeake Math & IT Academy Public Charter School, received 10 college acceptances this year. She announced that she’s off to Old Dominion University in the fall!
