PEERFORWARD IN HIGH SCHOOL
Who is the Most Influential Person in a 17-Year Old's Life?Another 17-Year Old.

Our 4-Step High School Program Model
PeerForward has perfected, for nearly three decades, how to leverage student influencers to build culture at their school where all students are inspired to pursue and succeed in postsecondary education after high school.

Identify & Recruit
Identify teams of 11th-and 12th-graders and adult supporters to become PeerForward Peer Leaders and Advisors.

Train & Inspire
Peer Leaders receive 60+ hours of training in Leadership Development, Campaign Organizing, and Postsecondary Admissions; educators also are trained and supported with a digital curriculum and other tools.

Lead Schoolwide Campaigns
Guided by PeerForward Coaches and the PeerForward Playbook, each team executes three schoolwide campaigns focused on actions that research shows are key indicators of postsecondary success.

Track & Analyze Results
Teams set campaign goals, identify metrics, organize events and communications, track their school’s progress using real-time data, and huddle regularly with their PeerForward Coach and school leaders to strategize to reach goals.

Who Is A Peer Leader?
Peer Leaders are the influential High School student leaders at the heart of our mission, activating higher education success in their classmates.
Peer Leaders are influential with their peer group, inclusive of all academic abilities and activities. PeerForward trains and supports these student teams, who bring energy and determination as they guide fellow students on the path to higher education success.
The Student-Driven Campaigns
Submitting two applications raises a student’s probability of enrollment by 40% and a third application increases probability by another 10%.
Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before March 1 can help students secure more funding—potentially doubling the amount compared to those who file later.
Helping students in all grades to build career skills while making academic choices aligned with their future goals and aspirations in mind.
PeerForward supports Peer Leaders and educators to ensure success. PeerForward Coaches huddle regularly to guide teams, educators are provided digital postsecondary planning curriculum and teams get a playbook with step-by-step guidance on executing successful campaigns and a dashboard to track progress.
