We are honored to be featured in the prestigious Stanford Social Innovation Review for our recent work redeveloping our business model to serve more students. The article focuses on two organizations that seem to have nothing in common – PeerForward (formerly known as College Summit) and Akshaya Patra, an India-based organization that provides lunchtime meals to students. Both organizations have recently designed program approaches that put cost innovation at the core of their models. By restructuring costs creatively, the organizations are better positioned than many to scale.
As PeerForward lowers costs and expands impact, we aim to fundamentally change the way all high schools are structured as they begin to recognize the power of positive peer influence to drive achievement and college access for all students. One day, every principal will deliberately and systematically deploy a peer influence strategy to attain school-wide post-secondary results.

Social innovation is never easy. That’s why many give up. But for two decades, we have never stopped striving for the most effective and scalable way to improve college access in low-income communities. Read about our business model here.
