Dr. Lou’s journey began as one of PeerForward’s first Peer Leaders, where he embraced the organization’s mission to uplift and empower others. Today, as PeerForward’s Director of Program and Partnerships, he leads our PeerForward in College (PFiC) program, coaching teams across multiple states and helping college students transform their campuses through peer-led initiatives.

His academic and professional achievements are extraordinary. Dr. Lou earned his Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in “Community College Leadership” from Morgan State University and holds Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credentials.

He has served as an adjunct professor at Miami Dade College, is a successful executive coach, and is widely regarded as a thought leader in mentoring and coaching. His presentation at the prestigious UNM Mentoring Institute this year was met with rave reviews, further solidifying his influence in the education equity landscape.

But beyond the accolades, Dr. Lou’s passion lies in creating opportunities for students in under-resourced communities. His ongoing research on peer leadership and student engagement underscores his commitment to ensuring that young leaders have the tools and support they need to succeed.
