The 2024 Fall Training Camp season was one for the books! Peer Leaders from high schools across the nation and Bermuda gathered for a day of unforgettable energy and growth. These camps, hosted in New York, Hawaii, California, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Florida, Kentucky, Texas, Maryland, and Bermuda, brought together teams to plan, learn, and get inspired.
Every team left with a fresh spark of excitement for their PeerForward campaigns. Peer Leaders boosted their financial aid and FAFSA knowledge, ensuring they’re ready to help classmates with critical resources. Speed networking sessions were a hit, with career pros from Deloitte and Amtrak sharing advice, stories, and insights that left students buzzing about their futures. Volunteers from T. Rowe Price led an exciting and insightful career panel. And the most heartwarming part? Officially inducting junior Peer Leaders into the PeerForward family, setting them up to lead with confidence.
Without a doubt, this season was made even more special by our dedicated PeerForward Alumni who came back to volunteer. In New York City, alums Jayden Mahadeo and Diene kept our energy high as they supported key sessions and captured the moment on social media. In Maryland, Karimatu and Marcus Prince stepped up to the plate to help their Peer Leaders think through each step of their next campaign event.
These alumni, who once walked in these same shoes, gave their time and wisdom to inspire today’s Peer Leaders. Their stories and experiences from summer workshops encouraged students to dive in wholeheartedly. As always, we’re so grateful for our alumni who reminded every Peer Leader that PeerForward is a family for life.
As we wrap up Fall Training Camp season, we’re beyond excited to see what these Peer Leaders will accomplish. They’re ready to create positive change, empowered by a network that has their back. Here’s to a year of impact, growth, and amazing campaigns!
