Meet this week’s Forward Thinker Spotlight: Danté Sousa! Danté is a senior Peer Leader at CedarBridge Academy in Bermuda. We caught up with him to ask about his Peer Leader journey and what inspires him to be a force for positive change in his community:

Why do you choose to be a positive influence on others?

I choose to be a positive influence so I can inspire my peers and make changes in my school.

What’s one change you want to inspire in your school or community?

I would like to promote mental health awareness in my community.

What song or artist do you listen to when you study?

When I study, I like to listen to Beyoncé.

In your own words what is a Peer Leader? 

A Peer Leader is a person who brings a positive ideology to the college going culture and postsecondary life planning.
