In June, a U.S. Supreme Court decision gutted affirmative action in college admissions. During one of the 2023 PeerForward summer Workshops, we were visited by a journalist from The New York Times Magazine who wanted to know how students were responding to the decision, especially on the question of whether to mention their race in their admissions essays. The journalist, Jessica Cheung, spoke to several of our Peer Leaders about the affirmative action decision and their plans for applying to colleges.
