Writing Coach
The Writing Coach plays a key role in helping Peer Leaders find their voice and craft compelling personal statements. Working with small teams of up to eight high school seniors, Writing Coaches guide students through the writing process, providing feedback and support to ensure their stories are authentic and impactful. They collaborate with fellow volunteers and consult with a Writing Coach Coordinator to refine students’ essays. Through this role, Writing Coaches empower students to present their best selves in their college applications.
College Coach
The College Coach plays a vital role in guiding Peer Leaders through their postsecondary planning. Working closely with a team of volunteers, College Coaches provide one-on-one mentorship to up to eight high school seniors. They assist students in building comprehensive college lists, navigating admissions requirements, and identifying next steps for their senior year. With the support of a Director of College Coaching, they ensure that students receive informed, choice-based recommendations that empower them to achieve their higher education goals.
